See below for just some of the feedback comments we received from our 2018 survey:-
So far I have run the programme 10 times. I noticed that the children were talking about what they had done to other children and using what they had learnt in the group. Some were unsure of the puppets at first but as we went into the next weeks they wanted the puppets to be out. It made them more aware of theirs and others feelings, gave them confidence by wanting to join in with others. Enjoyed the bean bag game so much - they wanted to do this every week and it increase their throwing and catching skills - which some of them did not have but others encouraged them to keep going. One child in particular did not want to come because of the puppets, he felt that he was too old for them. I had a quiet word with him about this and gave him the choice if he wanted to continue with/without them. He came back the next week and said he had thought about it, wanted the puppets and in fact looked forward to them coming to talk and he gained so much from the programme. It meets the needs very well. The children enjoyed doing it and talked about it to others and I found that they were using it in the playground if they saw anyone alone/upset.
