Back in 2003 a group of people got together and wrote a goal to develop a way to help to change the thinking of our society and over the years we realise that we are actually doing just that!
Thanks to our trademarked characters and role models (see Meet the Characters) our products are embraced by children.
Through the use of games, exercises, activities, puppetry, stories, relaxation, songs, craft and rewards the children help the characters to deal with 'challenges' and consequently maximise their own 'coping skills' enabling each child to draw the understanding, tips and techniques that they uniquely need to maintain their own positive mental health.
Where possible, our products are not technology based and focus on 'experiential' learning. Products come with user-guides however if parents/educators require further information or ideas for use, please feel free to contact us.
With the exception of the programmes, each product has been designed with limited involvement from a grown-up, however, parents, family members and friends will also enjoy finding out about all the tips and techniques of personal development. (We call these 'Happy Secrets'!)
Our programmes have been designed for use in primary schools where each and every element has been planned out with very comprehensive sessions guides and lesson plans. These programmes have been developed to be held as a small group (nurture style) intervention courses of 6 or 8 sessions, with the delivery being tailored by school staff. Each programme can be adapted for use on a one-to-one basis or indeed for a whole class!
Happy Secrets is the ongoing-innovative-responsibility of Rosie Burgess and Mike Burgess and has had (and continues to) have a lot of help from others in the education industry (see our team of friends).
From humble beginnings as the ‘Ninja Kids Role Models’ brand back in 2003, Happy Secrets has morphed and evolved to be one of the leading authorities on personal development products for children in school and at home.
